Hoodoo House is a personal UE5 project created with the goal of improving my stylized texturing workflow. I’m using a combination of hand painted techniques with Substance Painter and Photoshop for the diffuse color, while the normal information is mostly baked from ZBrush sculpts. I also wanted to make things somewhat modular to keep the overall amount of imported models low, as well as using trim sheets to reduce the amount of textures. This is an original concept, but I took a lot of influence from and learned quite a few techniques from Marie Lazar and Sophie Stübinger’s work on ArtStation. I used RVT blending for the grass, buildings, and various props. The sky is a custom sky sphere I painted in Photoshop. I added a world space gradient in UE5 to some of the rocks as well. Software used: Blender, Unreal Engine 5, Photoshop, ZBrush, Substance Painter | Finished in 2023
