Reapor 05 is a personal project and entry into the Art Station Challenge “Medieval: Back and Forth.” I wanted to get some more experience with UE5 and next-gen workflows, so I used high poly meshes with Nanite, saving myself time in the process by not needing to bake normal maps. The foliage atlases are painted in photoshop and still current-gen, so I was able to get some practice with different workflows. The concept revolves around a group of medieval peasants stealing modern farming equipment and transporting it back to the medieval era in order to effortlessly harvest wheat wherever they please. While traveling in modern times they also stole what they thought was a collection of highly valuable objects to adorn their new machine. Nevertheless, while novel to the time travelers, their spoils are merely cheap massed produced goods found easily on the internet.
